Welcome,
Allow me to introduce ourselves to you, We are David and Mitzi Day, We make
our Home just outside the small Texas town of Caddo Mills, Texas. We live on
15 acres we lovingly call DayDream Acres, hence our kennel name.
We only breed a few litters a yr. and sometimes we have puppies available to
show, working, and/or pet homes. All our puppies are whelped indoors, with me
their as Mid-wife. in the instance the whelping bitch needs assistance or
Veterinary care.
Puppies will not leave our home until they are at least 8 wks of age and are
wormed at 2,4, 6, and 8 wks of age. They are also Vaccinated at 6, and 8 wks of
age. They will come with all the papers required for registration with the JRTCA,
when they become 1 yr. of age, all pet quality puppies will require signature of a
spay/neuter contract.
All our Breeding males and female's are Baer and Cerf Normal. and are Cerf'd
yearly.
We are excited about the new DNA testing that is available to detect the
prescence of the mutated gene that can cause PLL,(Primary Lens Luxation) a
very serious and painful condition that can lead to blindness and or loss of the
affected eye(s) We are in the process of having our breeding stock as well as
some important retirees tested, as this is costly and time consuming, we hope that
you will bear with us. We will be posting the results as they come in. Altho we
know of no dog or puppy bred by us that has ever been diagnosed with PLL. we
feel it is very important to the continued success of our Terrier's as well as to all
Jack Russell Terriers to have this testing done. For more information about PLL
